Lithuania is a festival country and joinded the Metal-Battle in 2008. Each summer weekend open air festivals take place in different towns in Lithuania. The main metal open-air events in Lithuania are: Kilkim Žaibu festival and Devilstone Open Air.
Most famous in-door metal events during the year usually take place in the capital Vilnius, club Propaganda (famous club in metal community).
Approximately 70 metal bands are active in Lithuania at present. The biggest metal communities are in the capital Vilnius and the second biggest LT city – Kaunas.
The main and most important event organizers in metal scene are: ALT events, Relax Live, Propaganda Club.
The main Indoor festivals (active): Vilk? Žiema, Brutal Madness Fest., Metalo Frontas, Trejos Šešerios.

The history of Inquisitor can be traced back as far as to the year 2002, however the first home records were followed by the succession of changes in line-up and the first official demo ‘Prelude’ (a self-release CD) appeared only in 2005. Since it was an account of almost three years of musical evolution, ‘Prelude’ contains 6 quite diverse symphonic dark-metal pieces. The following years witnessed a dramatic change in the sound and ideas of Inquisitor. Having broadened the musical spectrum from still harsher riffing to passionate melodic passages Inquisitor stylistically approached the domain of melodic/avant-garde black metal. In 2007 deciding not to push some self-recordings into public, Inquisitor finally concentrates on a compositionally and ideologically challenging task of creating a multi-layered nonetheless unified album that would comprise a pseudo-plot with a single lyrical theme and characters. This idea develops into an album that is recorded in summer 2008 and is being mastered for almost a year. This is how ‘The Quantum Theory of Id’ is born (2010, Forgotten Path Records). Inquisitor enters year 2012 – the Anniversary year – open for new challenges and preparing the second full-length album.
