Dear Metalheads,

Loud Sound will be continuing to accept applications from greek bands that want to compete at next year's Wacken Metal Battle (Greece) until 15th December 2010.

As you may already know, in 2011 another band will get to travel, play live, and represent our country's metal scene in the biggest metal festival on planet Earth, Wacken Open Air. This may be your band !!

International prizes include record deal with Wacken Records and worldwide releases, full endorsement from Washburn & Eden Amps, free Mapex Double Bass Drum Set Pro M series etc. The band will also play live at the W:O:A of the following year!


The participation rules of the competition are as follows:
- Your band doesn't have a deal and isn't about to sign to a label in the near future.
- Your band can easily play a 25 minute set consisting of your own songs.
- Bands that participated in 2010 but didn't win any of the regional heats may re-apply.
- Your application (Demo cd with 3 – 4 songs, photo, band info and contact address) needs to be received by Loud Sound via mail at:

Winner Band: Deathclocks

Deathclocks is a six piece, modern metal band from Athens, Greece.The band was formed in early 2007 by Constantine Sidiropoulos as vocalist,Stelios Makris and Coctas Marmarinos as guitarists,Marios Maglogiannis as bassist and Dimitris Oikonomou on the drums in need to express their beliefs and feelings throughout music.Since today the band have played several live shows. From open air festivals to competitions such as “Wacken Metal Battle” and ”Battle Of The Bands” they achived to combine music with live performance for what they call “showtime” .In 2010 Rudolf joined the band as sampler. In John Paragamian joined as guitarist. So far a demo cd has been realesed.
