The finals of this year´s Metal Battle in Wacken was wrapped up by Finland. 26 countries in total took part in this year and dropped their finalists, each chosen in a pre-final, into the final tournament. A professional jury, which observed and voted each gig for 2 days, decided who should settle the race in the end. The power metal band Battle Beast fronted by female singer Nitte outclassed the fierce competition in the end and won. Amongst other things they won full endorsements and high quality equipment by Eden, Washburn, Mapex, Paiste, Marshall and Woodbrass plus a record deal.

the Chinese national winners Raging Mob unfortunately can't participate on this years national W:O:A Metal Battle finale at the Wacken Open Air, because of the refused visa of the Chinese members of the band.
Fortunately the bands singer Robert, whose origin is German, will be able to play with an alternative lineup of Raging Mob in Wacken.

the French W:O:A Metal Battle of 2010 is over and we are proud to announce the winner:
FRONTAL
A few details about FRONTAL:
« Frontal drives the war machine … with an incisive technical death metal, it’s incredibly efficient. The bands first show and Demo release, opening for Lamb of God in July 2009 is the start of a more than violent existence, conquering legions of fans and great memories. The Frontal members have had the opportunity to share the stage with bands such as: Lamb of God, Agnostic Front, Sepultura, Devil Driver, Bullet for my Valentine, Marylin Manson and Municipal Waste…along with many more. Now it’s your turn to experience this promising and upcoming band.
One year after Frontal’s debut, the band will represent France at the Wacken Metal Battle contest and show what they are capable of, prepare for the Frontal assault

the W:O:A Metal Battle 2010 in the Ex Yugoslavian countries is over and we are proud to announce the winner.:
FOREVER STORM
Serbian heavy metal band Forever Storm was established in the end of 2006, but pretensions for its creation existed from 2003, when Milos Miletic (rhythm and solo guitar) and Stefan Kovacevic (rhythm and solo guitar, vocals) first met. After some time, Vladimir Nestorovic (bass guitar) joined the band, and this lineup recorded a demo tape called “The Sign of Thunder”. Finally, the lineup was completed, and Vuk Stefanovic (drums) joined the band, so Forever Storm started practicing in the beginning of 2007. In the same year, band had played on some of the biggest festivals in Serbia, like Exit, Zajecarska Gitarijada, Rock On and Rock Village, and toured across the whole country. In the middle of the year 2008 band participated on the international contest in Crvenka and won the first prize which included the money for recoding the first album. The album was finally completed after long nine moths in the studio (September 2007 – October 2008). The album cover artist is Bane Kerac, one of Serbia's best comic book artists (many of his works are well known in Europe and America). In the meanwhile Nikola Maric (keyboards) joined Forever Storm and now the band is promoting its first studio album “Soul Revolution” across Serbia.
