Elchivo

ELCHIVO is a stoner rock and doom metal band from Monterrey, Mexico, formed in 2018. Founded by Marco Gil (originally of Maligno), the lineup is rounded out by Stefan Berdem (drums), Viin Angelini (vocals), and Roi Zerda (guitars).

Their 2020 self-titled debut LP earned national recognition, including nominations for Stoner Rock Album of the Year and New Band of the Year. The band now returns with their new album Under the Black Sun — nine tracks exploring new sounds and textures while keeping the essence that defines them. The first single, “The Unforeseen”, is out now, with festival dates in Mexico and beyond on the horizon.

Ihr selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum (2020) brachte landesweite Anerkennung, darunter Nominierungen als „Stoner-Rock-Album des Jahres” und „Neue Band des Jahres”. Mit ihrem neuen Album Under the Black Sun melden sie sich nun zurück – neun Tracks, die neue Klänge und Texturen ausloten, ohne die eigene Essenz zu verlieren.
