The Crescent’s Call

The Crescent's Call is a symphonic folk metal project from Austria. The band's name was inspired by the call of an inner voice that brought founder Christina back to her musical home after a long absence from the metal scene.

Their 2022 concept album THE CALL tells the story of Cairistiona, who, after severe emotional trauma, finds her true calling to save her world. Irish folk melodies (violins, cello) paint her village and people; symphonic, mystical layers carry her dramatic journey; the typical metal lineup drives the tempo with death metal accents underlining the brutality, while the alternation between clean and scream vocals first voices her inner conflict — then her transformation into a demonic figure who restores the balance of power.

The Crescent's Call ist ein Symphonic-Folk-Metal-Projekt aus Österreich. Der Bandname entstand aus dem Ruf einer inneren Stimme, die Gründerin Christina nach langer Distanz zurück in ihre musikalische Heimat – die Metal-Szene – führte.

Ihr Konzeptalbum THE CALL (2022) erzählt die Geschichte von Cairistiona, die nach einem schweren emotionalen Trauma ihre wahre Bestimmung findet, ihre Welt zu retten. Irische Folk-Melodien (Violinen, Cello) zeichnen ihr Dorf und ihr Volk; symphonische, mystische Klangschichten tragen ihre dramatische Reise; das klassische Metal-Line-up gibt das Tempo vor, Death-Metal-Akzente unterstreichen die Brutalität, und der Wechsel zwischen Cleangesang und Screams gibt zunächst ihrem inneren Konflikt eine Stimme – und schließlich ihrer Verwandlung in eine dämonische Gestalt, die das Gleichgewicht der Mächte wiederherstellt.
